Date

While much of the suspense of Hitchcock’s films is a result of his masterful cinematic technique, he still had to start with a story. We will examine two of the Master’s classic films and the short stories from which they sprung. Each literary work will be discussed first, then we will view each film and take a close look at how successfully Hitchcock transformed the story’s ideas and characters into cinema.

Read: Rear Window, Cornell Woolrich; The Birds, Daphne du Maurier
