The greatest source of fresh water on earth, and it’s in our backyard. We’ll explore how the Lakes were formed, who lived on their shores, and as the battleground of empires. Much fine literature and song have been inspired by the Lakes. How much remains of the once pristine wildness that our ancestors discovered - some in the form of great national parks? We’ll consider what the future holds as the earth warms and dries, and these inland seas become a mecca for migrants.
