From a cluster of colonies clinging to the eastern seaboard, the United States rapidly expanded across an entire continent in just a few decades. In this exploration of what came to be known as “Manifest Destiny”, we will examine the pivotal events and influential figures that drove this expansion. We'll delve into how vast, unsettled lands were filled with new residents, the profound impact on Native American communities, and the escalating tensions over slavery that accompanied westward growth.
