What does it mean to live a religious life if God ultimately lies beyond human description? In this five-part series, we explore how Rambam builds an entire vision of Judaism from this starting point. We will examine what we can know about God, why the mitzvot matter, the possibilities and limits of human reason, the relationship between philosophy and prophecy, and the nature of human perfection. The series concludes with Rambam’s political and messianic vision, asking how his understanding of God and the good life ultimately shapes his vision of community, leadership, and the ideal society.
