Part II covers post–war legal responses to the Holocaust, including war crimes trials, Holocaust compensation, including reparations and art restitution, and Holocaust denial laws and permissible restrictions on freedom of speech in both Europe and the United States.
The course highlights the role of law in both enabling atrocities and seeking justice afterward.
The last session, on Friday, February 5, will go from 10 AM to 12:30 for the movie projection of “Denial” followed by discussion.
