Some Jews are not aware that the Messiah is a traditional Jewish concept. Christianity borrowed  the idea of a messianic king from Judaism; however, Judaism and Christianity differ on whether Jesus meets the biblical and rabbinic criteria for the Messiah. All students are welcome, and no particular background is needed.
