Zionism is one of the most influential—and debated—ideas in modern Jewish history. But what exactly is Zionism, and how has its meaning changed over time? This course traces the evolution of Zionist thought from its 19th century origins to the present, examining the diverse ideological movements that emerged along the way. Through historical study and contemporary discussion, participants will explore how differing visions of Zionism continue to influence Israeli politics, global Jewish identity, and public debate today.
