Instructor(s)
Barbara Greenberg, J.D.
Magistrate for Bedford Municipal Court (retired)
Date
Tuesdays, January 19 to February 23
Time
1:30 to 3 PM ET

This course will examine several legal areas currently before the U.S. Supreme Court. Working in two-week blocks, we will explore cases involving the use of public tax dollars to support private and parochial schools; voting rights, including mail-in ballots for seniors and the use of government data to identify potentially ineligible voters; and environmental issues related to climate change, including questions of who may be financially responsible when communities or individual property owners experience damages. Several of these cases are currently pending before the Court, with decisions expected in the spring. We will consider the legal questions at issue, the arguments presented by the parties, and the potential implications of the Court’s rulings.

This course is offered with the generous support of the Association for Continuing Education
