Global and U.S.-based antisemitism has been on the rise, especially since 10/7/23. Though all sectors are facing this reality, it carries particular weight and consequences in healthcare. Three experts in antisemitism education, healthcare administration, and clinical practice lay the foundation by defining antisemitism, and sharing cases and data regarding:
• Current manifestations in healthcare
• Connection to history in medicine
• Effects on delivery of care and patient outcomes
• Steps to counter the present narrative and its impact
This interactive short course will include addressing Jewish identity; patient and practitioner rights; best practices for incident reporting; training mechanisms and other innovative measures to improve the climate in medical education and delivery of care.
