Vaccines have a history that stretches back over a thousand years, with major scientific breakthroughs emerging in the 1800s and continuing to shape public health today. This course will explore the various types of vaccines, their uses, and their impact on society. We will examine these topics through the lens of the diseases that vaccines target, and explain how the body responds to vaccines to promote better health.
