Keith LaMar has been on death row, in solitary confinement, after an investigation resulted in his conviction for crimes he allegedly committed during the Lucasville Prison Uprising in 1993, which resulted in the death of a prison guard and several inmates. LaMar has consistently maintained his innocence, claiming that he was not involved in the killings, and there has been growing support from activists, lawyers, and human rights organizations who argue that his conviction was based on a flawed legal process.
