Safety 101 is designed to enhance awareness and preparedness for personal and community safety. Participants will learn about the critical resources and practices available to ensure a secure environment at CWRU. The session includes an overview of campus safety features, CWRU Alerts, Safe Ride, Spartan Safe, safety tips, and more.

Safety 201 is a comprehensive presentation designed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills and safety strategies. The session covers the "Run, Hide, Fight" protocol for active aggressor threats, techniques from the "Stop the Bleed" program to control severe bleeding in emergencies, and the fundamentals of adult CPR. Participants will also learn how to use the equipment that is contained in the automated external defibrillator (AED) cabinets, found on the walls in campus buildings. This includes the effective use of Dechokers for choking emergencies, administering naloxone spray to counter opioid overdoses, and the operation of AEDs.

Safety 301 is a scenario-based course designed to put your skills into action. Building on the foundation of Safety 101, Safety 201, Run. Hide. Fight., Stop the Bleed, and CPR, this class provides hands-on opportunities to apply what you’ve learned in realistic, low-pressure emergency scenarios. Through repetition and practical exercises, participants will build confidence in their ability to respond effectively under stress.

Understanding Drugs of Abuse & Misuse provides an overview of drugs of abuse and misuse, focusing on their classification, effects, and the risks associated with non-medical use.  Designed to promote awareness and informed decision-making, this talk aims to support the well-being and safety of the CWRU campus community.

Scams & Online Protection provides awareness of common scams such as government official impersonation, fake job offers, romance/sextortion scams, phishing attempts, and fraudulent scholarship or financial aid opportunities. In this presentation, we'll cover commonly used scam tactics, key warning signs to watch for, and practical steps you can take to protect yourself and avoid becoming a victim.

Winter Driving Safety – Stay Safe on the Road will cover essential tips and best practices for driving safely in winter conditions, tailored for the CWRU community. Topics include how to prepare your vehicle for cold weather, recognizing and responding to hazardous road conditions (ice, snow, low visibility), and what to do in case of an emergency. The session will also provide guidance on defensive driving techniques, proper tire use, and how to create a winter driving emergency kit.
