The Mental Health Response Advisory Committee (MHRAC) released their 2016 annual report, detailing their work over the last year. Policy Director, Gabriella Celeste, co-chairs the MHRAC policy subcommittee. Throughout 2016, the policy subcommittee developed three draft policy recommendations: Crisis Intervention Team Program Policy, Crisis Intervention Team Response Policy and Crisis Intervention Team Definitions. Current CDP policies and procedures as well as those in other jurisdictions were reviewed during the development process. Feedback from community members and CDP officers could provide input though online and public forums to assist with the drafting of the policies. The policies were submitted and approved by the Settlement Agreement’s Monitoring Team and were submitted to the federal court of Cleveland on January 19, 2017.
