In Fall 2026, SJ Scholars have the opportunity to learn from and be in conversation with Professor Ayesha Bell Hardaway. This academic year, SJ Scholars will be diving into Assata Shakur's Assata: An Autobiography, Robin D. G. Kelley's Freedom Dreams: The Black Radical Imagination, and excerpts from Johanna Fernández's The Young Lords A Radical History.
Selected participants received subsequent readings, and received a $250 award for their full participation over the fall semester. Participants agreed to be responsible for reading all of the assigned materials, and must attend five planning and discussion sessions.
