Master of Accountancy

Work where decisions happen.

In the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program at Weatherhead School of Management, you’ll gain the skills you need to work across public accounting, corporations and nonprofits in roles shaped by technology and regulation.

Organizations communicate performance, justify decisions and earn trust through accounting. Here, you’ll learn the language of business in a program designed to emphasize durable skills.

What Our MAcc Offers

In this program, you’ll choose the path that aligns with your goals—complete your degree in just two semesters (30 credit hours) to quickly build the accounting expertise, professional judgement and cross-disciplinary perspective needed to launch your career, or pursue the STEM-designated track (39 credit hours) to gain in-demand skills in analytics, technology and data-driven decision-making that help you stand out in a competitive market; either way, you’ll graduate with knowledge, experience and confidence.

As a student, you will complete a rigorous sequence of courses covering financial reporting, taxation, analytics, technology, ethics and professional judgement. Theory meets practice in the capstone experience—a culmination of all you’ve learned.

Throughout this program, you will gain exposure to:

  • Public accounting, taxation and advisory
  • Corporate and managerial accounting
  • Financial reporting, forensics and analysis
  • Accounting systems and technology
  • Professional responsibility and ethics

You’ll complete the same professionalism and communication core that is shared across the Weatherhead School’s specialty master’s programs, gaining key skills in clear communication, ethical reasoning and professional presence.
