Music Department Faculty and UCITE Director Matthew L. Garrett was recently appointed as an International Advisory board Member for the forthcoming Gender Equity and Fairness Oxford Intersections research project.
A press release from Oxford University Press describes the new interdisciplinary project, "a new research resource combining original research from multiple academic disciplines centered on a complex global topic, designed to inform global policy and decision-making.” Garrett will serve as a music and music education subject matter representative, and he will advise on the general structure, scope, intention, and progress of the project.
