Course Schedule

Principal Performance MUAP (Section 900) for Music Majors (BA/BS)

Required Participation

Music majors enrolled in Principal Performance (MUAP 121, 122, 221, 222, 321, 322, 323, 324) are required to participate in Recital Class. Each student must:

  • Perform once per academic year.
  • Serve as a stage manager at least once per year, typically the week following their performance.
  • Attend and participate fully in Recital Class as required.

Forms & Deadlines

All forms are available in the Canvas Course or on the Current Undergraduate Students page.

  • Time Conflict Permission: Request approval for a course scheduling conflict with Recital Class. Approved students will complete participation requirements asynchronously.
  • Single Excused Absence: Request one excused absence for illness, bereavement, or religious observance.
  • Program Information: Submit by 2:00 PM on Wednesday, one week before your scheduled performance.
  • Accompanist Request: Submit at least 8 weeks before your performance for difficult or demanding repertoire, or at least 4 weeks before your performance for standard repertoire.
