Julie Andrijeski Receives Distinguished Alumna Award from the Lamont School of Music

The Department of Music is pleased to congratulate faculty member Julie Andrijeski, Head of the Historical Performance Practice Program, on receiving the Distinguished Alumna Award from the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver.

The award recognizes alumni who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and leadership in their field. During her visit to Denver, Andrijeski worked with the Lamont Baroque Orchestra, directed by former student Zoe Weiss, and participated in the school's annual awards celebration.

Reflecting on the honor, Andrijeski shared that she was "honored and humbled" to receive the award and expressed gratitude to Weiss for the nomination and to the Lamont community for its warm welcome.

A renowned performer, scholar, and educator, Andrijeski has earned international recognition for her work in historical performance and Baroque violin. At Case Western Reserve University, she leads one of the nation's premier Historical Performance Practice programs, mentoring students while maintaining an active career as a performer and researcher.

The Department of Music extends its heartfelt congratulations to Professor Andrijeski on this well-deserved recognition.
