Ohio Cyber Range CSU-CWRU-IoTC Regional Programming Center Small Grant Request for Proposals

Summary

The CSU-CWRU-IOTC OCRI-RFP is soliciting proposals from CSU-CWRU faculty to develop course and other materials using the Ohio Cyber Range Institute (OCRI).

Proposals from only a CSU or CWRU faculty member (or members) may seek up to $10,000. Proposals from teams of faculty that include at least one member from CSU and one member from CWRU may seek up to $20,000. Per the sponsor (OCRI), awards may not include indirect costs.

Successful teams are required to present their projects at least once at a relevant conference. For teams with CSU faculty, you are required to present at least once at the CSU Provost Teaching Summit, which fulfills this requirement.

Info Session

Details regarding the application process are provided below.

Application Package

The application must include each of the following items:

     (1) Cover page: listing the proposal title, principal investigator(s) name, title, college and institution, and the total amount requested;
     (2) Proposal: A 500-word maximum description of the project reflecting the evaluation criteria below. The project must not duplicate existing materials available on OCRI. Please review the materials before submitting your proposal: https://www.ohiocyberrangeinstitute.org/education
     (3) OCRI-RPC Ohio Department of Higher Education Subaward for Coordinated Collaborative Action: Please complete and submit this entire form (Attached). Note the restrictions on funding activities.

We will evaluate proposals based on the following criteria:

     (1) Originality: please explain how your proposal offers a new resource or resources for OCRI members and their students. 5 points
     (2) Importance to the field: please explain why your proposal is important to the cybersecurity field. 5 points
     (3) Feasibility: please provide a detailed project plan, including a timeline with interim deliverables. Explain whether this is a new project or builds on existing work and how you plan to complete the project by the completion date. 10 points
