As a complement to the CMA’s Picasso and Paper exhibition, this course will provide an overview of Picasso’s amazing oeuvre. We will look at his early works, blue and rose periods, cubism, his sculpture, his designs for the Ballets Russes, several of his masterpieces, and his late work. Time will also be devoted to his life; Picasso’s art is like a diary. Picasso’s wives and lovers, children, his fear of aging and dying are all components in his fascinating career.
