Revolutions of the political type are pretty common throughout history.  We will survey three major ones - the American, the French, and the Russian - and examine the causes, the risks, and the impact - near and far-reaching - and how they resonate today.  One thing for sure is their effects can be unpredictable and have unintended consequences.
