In this class, we will explore the rich history of Yiddish Theatre. The class will span from the mid-19th century to present day, from Europe to America, and from musical theatre, to puppet shows, to political theatre. This class aims to unpack how Yiddish theatre shaped and reflects the values of Jewish communities across time and space.
