The party continues! Happy centennial to The New Yorker, our favorite literary periodical! We’ll celebrate by independently reading selections originally published from 1976 - 2026 in A Century of Fiction in The New Yorker, our required text. Class discussion will focus on the 12 - 15 stories on the syllabus as well as our collaborative exploration of characteristics that seem to define New Yorker stories. A great course for opinionated readers, thoughtful listeners, and everyone in between. Please note: this course can be taken solo or with its companion, which runs in April.

Read: A Century of Fiction in The New Yorker, edited by Deborah Treisman
