New and sometimes bewildering technologies are transforming our daily lives. What implications do these technologies have for the life of faith? In this course, we will be exploring questions at the intersection of faith and technology. For example, does tech compete with or complement existing forms of worship? Could faith in technology itself be a form of religion? What are our ethical obligations regarding artificial intelligence? Can the concept of “golem” illuminate our understanding of AI? How do we make decisions about technology use in our daily lives? Weekly readings will be provided as we discuss these questions and more.
