The transhumanist movement promotes the use of technology to enhance human physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities-potentially extending life, improving intelligence, and overcoming biological limitations.
Advances in artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, brain-computer interfaces, and longevity research are bringing these possibilities closer to reality. This lecture explores the origins and goals of transhumanism, the technologies driving human enhancement, and the ethical questions they raise. Where is the line between therapy and enhancement? Should there be limits to altering human nature? Together, we will examine the promises, risks, and societal implications of humanity’s technological future.
