Mary Bailey-Swanzy, MPH, MS has been offered a Public Health Associate fellowship by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The competitive, two-year training program allows participants the opportunity to work with public health agencies and nongovernmental organizations in the United States and US territories alongside other professionals across a variety of public health settings.

Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) will begin offering a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) entitled, Designing Your Personal Weight Loss Plan. Created by Mary Beth Kavanagh, Senior Instructor and Director of Bachelor/Master’s Education in the Department of Nutrition, the project-based, online course walks learners through creating their own personalized weight loss plan.
