Safety Town

What Is Safety Town?

CWRU Safety Town

CWRU Public Safety proudly launched its first Safety Town in 2025, and due to its success, the program will now be held annually each summer. Safety Town is a fun, engaging way to introduce young children to essential safety skills that help build confidence and encourage smart decision-making—both now and as they grow.

Safety Town is designed for children ages 5–6 and focuses on learning through play. Throughout the week, participants enjoy:

Safety Town
  • Hands-on activities

  • Creative crafts

  • Catchy songs

  • Interactive, age-appropriate lessons

Children explore important safety topics in a playful and supportive environment. From learning how to cross the street safely to recognizing emergency helpers, Safety Town helps kids gain practical skills that can prevent accidents—and even save lives.

Each day is designed to spark curiosity, encourage participation, and make learning about safety fun and memorable.
