On Saturday, October 25th at 6pm, the Social Justice Institute at Case Western Reserve University will host Social Justice in the Arts in the Tinkham Veale Center ballroom. We are excited to create a space of connection, education, and inspiration with an evening of artistic expressions.

Our event presents a powerful opportunity for us to dine and enjoy jazz by the band Freedom First featuring Keith LaMar and Albert Marquès. Keith is a brilliant intellectual and thought-leader who teaches high school and college students on a host of topics. He’s a painter, spoken word artist, and author. Keith is also an innocent man confined for the last thirty years and counting to death row at the Ohio State Penitentiary. More information about Keith can be found through his website, this podcast, his book Condemned, and this animated short film. The stakes could not be any higher.

Event is free and open to the public. Registration is required. To register, click here.
We encourage attendees to make donations to Keith LaMar's legal fund which can be found here

This event is co-sponsored by the CWRU Office of Government and Community Relations and the CWRU School of Law Social Justice Law Center.
