Community members gathered together for a wide-ranging discussion focusing on examining culture and advocacy in an intersectional framework, on implicit bias and privilege, and on the language of advocacy, activism and solidarity. The prestigious panel included Eugenia Cash (ADAMHS and CMSD), Reverend Jawanza Colvin (Olivet Institutional Baptist Church), Phyllis Seven Harris (LGBT Community Center), Judge Kristin Sweeney, attorney Reggie Williams and Dr. Rhonda Y. Williams (SJI); the evening was moderated by Reverend Shawnthea Monroe (Plymouth Church UCC).
The evening also included questions from the audience and a light reception.
Tickets were $10 - all proceeds raised will benefit the Social Justice Institute and EYEJ.
