Over 400 people engaged in dialogue addressing race and racism, one of the social determinants of health and food access. By engaging multiple sectors of our community, our goal was to expand the grassroots base that promotes environmental justice. Keynote addresses featured:
- Dr. Julian Agyeman, professor of urban and environmental policy and planning at Tufts University
- Elizabeth C. Yeampierre, civil rights attorney and the Executive Director of UPROSE
- Dara Cooper, co-founder of The National Black Food and Justice Alliance
- Denzel Austin Thompson, youth activist and creator of Philly's Urban Creator
