On Saturday, February 6, over 400 students and community members came together to learn about critical issues of Social Justice, participate in two of over 25 different workshops, dialogue with campus and community members, and build their civic leadership skills. SJI Director Rhonda Y. Williams delivered a keynote address focusing on the SJI mission and its application to the current crisis in Flint, Michigan. The Teach In was held from 11 am-3 pm at the Tinkham Veale Center, 11038 Bellflower Road. The event was free for students and $10 for community members.
