Create transformative global learning experiences for CWRU students
Short-term, faculty-led study abroad programs give students the opportunity to engage with course content through place-based, experiential learning. These programs are designed and led by CWRU faculty and staff and supported by the Office of Education Abroad to ensure high academic quality, responsible risk management, and meaningful engagement with local communities abroad.
Whether you are developing a new program or refining an existing one, our office partners with you throughout the entire process from initial idea to on-site implementation.
Why lead a faculty-led program?
-
Bring your academic expertise to life through immersive global experiences
-
Design innovative, high-impact learning that connects theory to practice
-
Build deeper relationships with students
-
Make study abroad more accessible to students who may not participate in long-term opportunities
Leading short-term study abroad programs is truly an honor. Watching students experience new cultures while exploring social entrepreneurship and sustainability in real-world contexts is incredibly rewarding. My favorite part is seeing a group of students, many of whom start as strangers, form meaningful connections and return with new friendships, confidence, and perspectives. As faculty, these programs also deepen our relationships with students in a way that lasts long after we return to campus.
