The Residence Life Team

The Office of Residence Life at Case Western Reserve University has 128 staff members! The team is comprised of 13 full-time professionals, 12 graduate-level professionals, and 103 undergraduate staff members. To learn more about our staffs' roles and what we do, please read the information below.

Full-Time Professionals

Central Office Staff

Members of the Central Office Staff include our Administrative Assistant, Department Assistant, Director, Associate Director and two Assistant Directors. Each member of the Central Office is a full-time professional who has various levels and areas of responsibility. Additionally, the Central Office Staff can be located in the main Residence Life office in Thwing Center, Room 108.

Residential Community Directors (RCDs)

Our 8 Residential Community Directors are full time, master's level professional staff who oversee residential communities across campus. They are responsible for supporting residents, coordinating their communities' experiences, and supervising graduate and undergraduate team members. 


Graduate Student Staff

Assistant Residential Community Directors (ARCDs)

For 2022-2023, we have 10 Assistant Residential Community Directors on the Residence Life team. ARCDs are graduate students pursuing degrees at Case Western Reserve University, Kent State University, and other institutions. They are also responsible for supporting residents, coordinating their communities' experiences, supervising undergraduate team members, and overseeing the residential communities alongside our Residential Community Directors.

Graduate Residential Directors (GRDs)

For 2022-2023, we have 2 Graduate Residential Directors on the Residence Life team. GRDs are graduate students pursuing a graduate or doctoral degree at Case Western Reserve University. They are responsible for supporting residents specifically within the Triangle and Monroe communities. Additionally, they are responsible for coordinating part their specific assigned community's experience, and overseeing the residential communities alongside their residential community's professional staff.


Undergraduate Student Staff

Resident Assistants (RAs)

For 2022-2023, there are 103 Resident Assistants part of the Residence Life team. They are undergraduate students pursuing degrees at Case Western Reserve University. RAs are also responsible for creating communities that feels safe, is focused on learning, and is inclusive and respectful of all members.

Central Office Student Assistants (COSAs)

Our 3 Central Office Student Assistants are undergraduate students pursuing degrees at Case Western Reserve University. COSAs primary responsibilities are to assist with the day-to-day functions of and to build community within the main Residence Life office, located in Thwing Center, Room 108.
