As a member of the Division of Student Affairs, the Office of Residence Life supports the value of promoting student leadership and engagement opportunities for our residential students and student staff members. 


CAACURH Regional Business Conference 2026

CWRU was proud to host the Regional Business Conference at CWRU! During the weekend of February 20-22, we were honored to welcome 65 student delegates and 20 Advisors from 18 regional institutions to our campus. We appreciated the opportunity to connect with the 13 Regional Board Members that guide the regional organization. We would also shoutout our 3 Vendor Representatives.

CAACURH Regional Leadership Conference 2025

During the weekend of November 7-9th, a delegation of 12 students (1 NCC, 1 RHA Rep, 1 NRHH Rep, and 9 RHA members) and 2 advisors attended the Regional Leadership Conference (RLC) at Slippery Rock University (SRU) in Slippery Rock, PA. 

Here's a quick recap of Recognition & Awards from RLC '25:

  • CWRU won the Spirit Award for the delegation with the most spirit!
  • Our National Communications Coordinator, Noah, was awarded a Cougar Pride Pin!
  • Our Vice President for Residential Experience, Alex, won a Top 5 Ed Session!
  • Hunter, the President of Noyes-Fayette Community Council, was presented the Distinguished Delegate Award!

As a recognition program from July 2024 thru March 2025 NRHH recognized 77 Campus Winners, 39 of those which won on the Regional Level. Of those 39 Regional Winners, 6 won Nationally. Overall, CWRU is ranked 3rd in OTMs in the nation, based on participation and winning nominations.

  • Heena Dave (Upperclass Community Council Rep and NRHH member) was awarded the NRHH Golden Pen for engaging in the most impactful OTM writing
  • Sriya Potturu (NRHH member and 26/27 VP of Recognition) was awarded the Outstanding Service Pin for her dedication to participating in and implementing service opportunities in NRHH this Year.
  • Lillian Paley (NRHH member and 2627 NRHH President) was awarded the Outstanding Recognition Pin for consistently demonstrating strong leadership and initiative within the community and the organization.

Residence Hall Association (RHA)

RHA strives to build community in the residence halls and enhance the Residential Experience. RHA advocates for the residents of CWRU by facilitating communication between residents and university offices, provides leadership opportunities for students in all residential experiences, and hosts events such as Casino Night and Res Hall Rendezvous. Nine of the residential communities on the CWRU campus are home to an RHA Community Council, which puts on location-specific programs, along with understanding and advocating for the individual needs of each community.

National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is a leadership based honorary comprised of exemplary residential students who value service and recognition and are committed to leadership and scholarship. As such, they aim to promote recognition and service throughout the residential community here at CWRU.  NRHH recognizes outstanding efforts by all members of the residential community through their Of the Month (OTM) awards program.
