Erin Hopkins is a PhD student in Music Education at Case Western Reserve University. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Michigan and a Master of Education in Mind, Brain, & Education from Harvard University.

Erin has taught elementary general music for eight years, the majority of which has been in urban public schools. She also teaches music classes for children with Down Syndrome for Gigi’s Playhouse Cleveland. Her research work is interdisciplinary, focusing on intersections between neurodiversity studies, music cognition research, and music education praxis.
