Fellowship Opportunity
The Institute for Smart, Secure and Connected Systems (ISSACS) has a number of Fellowships available for graduate students in EMAE, EMSE, ECSE, CSDS and EBME. Each Fellowship provides $8,000 to support student research projects that are aligned with the focus areas of ISSACS.
Background
The Institute for Smart, Secure and Connected Systems (ISSACS) focuses on research around the internet of things, particularly in the areas of Advanced/Future Manufacturing and Connected Health.
ISSACS Fellowship Application Process
The application procedure is as follows:
1. Submit a Research Statement (not to exceed 5 pages) that describes your thesis work and includes the following sections: Problem Statement, Literature Review, Research Plan and Timeline, Contributions, and Relevance of the research to ISSACS.
2. Submit a signed letter of recommendation from your academic Advisor that also includes information on other funding (if any) the student is receiving.
Fellowship Applications are due no later than December 15, 2023 and should be submitted via email to Yvette Graham (yxg562@case.edu) with Subject: ISSACS Fellowship Opportunity.
ISSACS Fellowship recipients are expected to acknowledge support from ISSACS in their thesis and in publications that are related to their thesis work, In addition, Fellows must provide a headshot, brief bio, one-page executive summary, and will be asked to give a brief presentation on their research when the thesis is completed.
The Fellowships will be announced in January 2024, with funding to be expended by December 2024.
