Review Fall Class Schedule

Confirming your fall schedule

Congratulations on completing your first course registration experience!  Your four-year advisor has reviewed your fall course schedule and reached out to you if changes were needed. You will be able to make additional adjustments to your schedule beginning Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 9 a.m. eastern when the drop/add period opens. As you adjust to your schedule during those first two weeks of classes, you will be able to continue to make changes through Friday, September 8 at 11:59 p.m. eastern.  However, changes to courses recommended for your intended major should be discussed with your pre-major advisor or four-year advisor.

If you are assigned a Fall Academic Inquiry Seminar, you will find out your final assignment soon.  Below are a few important reminders.

  • If you selected the “topical” Academic Inquiry Seminar option, the Writing Program’s office will determine your seminar enrollment based on your fall schedule and the preferences you provided. If you did not complete the topical seminar preference form, or if your four-year advisor reached out to you to adjust your schedule, please return to your Roadmap to verify that your Academic Inquiry Seminar preferences are still valid with your adjusted schedule. If you do not submit your preferences by Tuesday, August 8, your topical seminar placement will be based on the rest of your schedule.

  • If you selected Foundations Seminar or Seminar for Non-Native Speakers of English, you will be placed in a section that fits your schedule, and do not need to take any further action.

If you are assigned a Spring Academic Inquiry Seminar, you will be prompted with further course registration instructions in November.

During Discover Week, you will have the opportunity to discuss your fall semester schedule again with your Pre-Major Advisor.  You will find out who your Pre-Major Advisor later this month.
