Graduate Staff Testimonials

Explore below to hear from some of our current Graduate Staff members about their experiences at CWRU!

ARCD Alayna

Serving as Grad has been one of the most meaningful and practical leadership experiences I’ve had. Supporting students through real challenges, and responding to crises taught me how to communicate with empathy, make decisions under pressure, and work as part of a team. These are skills I know will support me in PA school and in the future as a Physician Assistant. This role challenges you to grow quickly while giving you the chance to truly impact your community. If you’re looking for an experience that builds transferable skills you can carry into almost any career, a Graduate Staff role is incredibly valuable.

ARCD Braeden

Even though my future career is in the medical field, this role has given me the opportunity to strengthen skills that I typically wouldn't learn in the classroom such as crisis management, supervising student staff, navigating difficult conversations, and even serving in an on-call rotation. I plan to take these skills to support future patients and to respond in high-stress environments.

AY 25-26 Grad Staff at Picnic

Being a Grad Staff member provides many transferable skills, including crisis management, documentation, and relationship-building. I believe that strengthening these skills now will aid me in my future career in medicine.
