The 2016 Edition of the CAPS course All Things Travel will be presented on Wednesday, January 27th from 1-3 pm in the Kelvin Smith Library, Room 215. The course is presented by Michael Kurutz of CWRU's Travel Services Department.
The first part of the course reviews CWRU Travel Policy, best practices, and an array of examples to resolve your most difficult travel questions. Included is an overview of 2016 industry trends covering airline fares/service, hotel pricing/inventory, and changes facing the car rental industry. The American Express Travel and Expense Card, the Enterprise CarShare program, and a new discount university hotel booking portal will also be discussed.
The second part of the course provides a hands-on introduction to the PeopleSoft Financials Travel and Expense Module. Included will be useful tips, a summary of recent fixes, and common pitfalls so you can use can maximize your use of the module to save time and avoid expense report send backs/denials. The course's interactive format encourages sharing of travel-related situations and issues from many areas of the university community.
