The University's Enterprise Carshare Program has added a fifth vehicle to its rental fleet. It's located in Lot 82 on East 101st Street between the new Health Education Campus and Maltz Performing Arts Center. The new four-door Nissan Sentra features a color backup display, push button ignition, and USB/Bluetooth connectivity. There are also a variety of driver-assist safety features and an optional eco-mode to improve gas mileage and reduce environmental impact.
The Enterprise Carshare program is open to all students 18 years of age and older who have a valid driver's licence. Rates start at $8 per hour and reach a maximum of $56 per day. The rates include gasoline, Ohio minimum insurance coverage, and 200 free miles. In addition to Sentras, the CWRU program offers two Nissan Rogues for members needing added cargo capacity.
"Enterprise Carshare offers our students the convenience and security of a car without the actual daily cost of ownership and parking hassle," according to CWRU Travel Manager Michael Kurutz. "With the strong demand from our students and employees, we look forward to adding more vehicles across the CWRU campus."
