Harkness Chapel Reservations

This venue is intended for Department of Music classes, ensemble concerts, student recitals, rehearsals, recording sessions, and special events. An external event requires a plan for review and approval by the Department of Music. As a first step, your request will be reviewed by our operations staff. Additional fees may apply.

To Book: Use the Reservation Request to submit a reservation in Harkness Chapel. 1 week in advance (5 business days) is required.

Reservation Request

Exceptions:

• Students, faculty, and staff in the Historical Performance Practice (HPP) program can reserve rehearsal time through the Project Block scheduling system. 
• Special tuning and maintenance reservations can be requested via email, 48 hours in advance required.

During the academic year, reservations for events and recording sessions are booked in 3-hour blocks during Weekend Times, including setup and tear down:

• Weekend Times include Thursday night, Friday night, all-day Saturday, and all-day Sunday
• Each block includes a preset event start time, if applicable (see chart below). 
• Private events and recording sessions can disregard the event start time and use the full block.
• Musical activities in Harkness Chapel must end by 10:00 PM.
