Reserve Harkness Chapel
Use the Harkness Chapel Reservation Request to submit your reservation.
- Reservation requests must be submitted at least one week (5 business days) in advance.
- All requests are reviewed by the Department of Music operations staff before approval.
- Rental fees may apply.

Scheduling Guidelines
Harkness Chapel is primarily reserved for:
- Department of Music classes, ensemble concerts, student recitals, and rehearsals
- Recording sessions
- Approved special events
- Weddings
Events hosted by individuals or organizations outside the Department of Music require review and approval of the scope of use before a reservation can be confirmed.

Before submitting your request, please review:
Evening & Weekend Event Blocks
During the academic year, concerts, events, and recording sessions are scheduled in preset 3-hour blocks, which include setup and teardown time.
Event blocks are available on Thursday and Friday evening, Saturday, or Sunday.
Private events and recording sessions may use the entire reserved block. Public performances should follow the standard event start times below.

*The late evening reservation block includes an additional hour to accommodate cleanup and securing the building.
All activities must conclude by 10:00 p.m.
Exceptions
The following reservations follow a different process:
- Historical Performance Practice (HPP) students and faculty reserve rehearsal time through the Project Block scheduling syste.
- Piano tuning and maintenance reservations may be requested by email and require at least 48 hours notice.
