Student Safety

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) recognizes that student safety is top priority when creating a conducive learning environment. Prioritizing student safety fosters an awareness of potential hazards, as well as a culture of responsibility that students will carry with them into their areas of study. 

Safety training is essential to ensuring students are well versed in protocols, hazard identification, proper techniques and emergency procedures. This knowledge can significantly reduce the risk associated with situations they will encounter in labs, performance venues, club activities, and while working in a variety of roles at CWRU. It is important to note that student safety concerns intersect with many other subject areas, some of which are linked below.
