Under the umbrella of the Division of Public Safety, the Office of Resiliency is tasked with emergency management, business continuity and emergency communications.
Business continuity planning will require the participation and support of all CWRU administrative, academic and research-oriented business units. These business units and academic colleges will be engaged in the plan development process by mapping out critical processes and prioritizing resumption and recovery activities in the aftermath of a crisis event.
Emergencies can develop anywhere, anytime, without warning. They range from natural disasters to chemical spills to armed intruders.
Case Western Reserve's Office of Resiliency aims to ensure students, faculty, staff and visitors are ready if or when a crisis develops on campus. We improve people's lives by taking a proactive approach to the four phases of emergency management:

Our staff operates the campus Public Safety Communications Center, which accepts and dispatches all emergency calls, and teams with other university departments to communicate directly and proactively with constituents during emergencies and non-emergencies alike. We also oversee the student-run CWRU Emergency Medical Service.
In addition, we conduct an annual campus safety fair, training for university responders, testing of communications systems and other events.
