As the 17th century neared its end, Arcangelo Corelli (1653 - 1713) burst onto the scene with a series of compositions that set the standard for instrumental music for much of the 18th century. This concert traces Corelli's influence through the spread of the trio sonata and concerto grosso genres in Italy, Germany, France, England, and the Netherlands. Come discover with us the stunning variety and breathtaking virtuosity of these crowd-pleasing classics! Featuring works by A. Corelli, J. S. Bach, J. J. Goldberg, G. F. Handel, P. A. Locatelli, and J. M. Leclair.
