Senior Undergraduate Prizes

 

The Department of Biochemistry is very proud every year to recognize graduating seniors who have excelled academically or in their research. 

Students completing either a B.A. or B.S. in Biochemistry who are co-authors on a submitted or published research paper may be nominated to receive their degree "with honors in Biochemistry."  

Congratulations to the following 11 students who graduated with honors in Biochemistry in 2025-26:  Shiva Ayyar, Wilt Cao, Sara Desai, Amanda Farrar, Julia Hluck, Emily Katoni, Joel Lee, Tyler Sun, and Emily Vasko.

 

The Merton F. Utter Prize is awarded to seniors completing the B.A. in Biochemistry with the highest overall grades.  Congratulations to our three 2025-26 Utter Prize winners:  Ziheng Cheng, Julia Hluck, and Hayden Ma.

 

The Harland G. Wood Prize is awarded to seniors completing the B.S. in Biochemistry with the highest overall grades.  Congratulations to our five 2025-26 Wood Prize winners:  Shiva Ayyar, Alexander Krammer, Joel Lee, Joshua Park, and Donovan Whitfield.
