Security Alert

Case Western Reserve University Division of Public Safety

This incident occurred off campus and did not involve anyone affiliated with Case Western Reserve, but because of the proximity to the university, CWRU police would like the campus community to be aware.

Crime: Armed robbery

Location of incident: East 120th Street and Random Road

Date of Incident: Dec. 25, 2021

Time of Incident: 11:23 p.m.

Incident Description: A suspect with a gun approached a victim (not affiliated with Case Western Reserve) and stole their black Jeep Grand Cherokee (Ohio license plate #HGX7005). The suspect was last seen headed eastbound on Random Road toward Mayfield Road in the victim's vehicle. The victim was not injured.

Suspect(s) Description: The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately age 15-16 and 5'4" tall, wearing a black jacket and carrying a black gun.
