[U]Tech's Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) team will celebrate National Distance Learning Week Nov. 7–11, 2022. All members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to participate.
Events
Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022
1 p.m.
Sears Library Building, Room 200
TLT will stream United States Distance Learning Association’s (USDLA) "Stewardship and the Future of Instructional Delivery" session and hold a post-viewing discussion.
Sign up to attend the livestream and discussion.
Friday, Nov. 11, 2022
12:45 to 2 p.m.
TLT will host a virtual workshop on how to create interactive learning objects (ILOs) using presentation software. An ILO conveys text-based information in an engaging way that allows learners to explore the information on their own, non-linearly (Bloom’s Taxonomy ILO Example). In this hands-on workshop, you’ll follow along as we walk you through creating your own ILO for use in your class.
Other opportunities
TLT is accepting applications for the Online Learning Advisory Committee Online Learning Community. Apply today to learn about topics such as how to balance synchronous and asynchronous time, and how to ensure that both faculty and students have multiple avenues for meaningful learning and interaction throughout the course.
Additionally, members of the university community can view USDLA’s free, virtual, week-long series of webinars.
