CWRU has an overall University Technology, [U]Tech policy management process that is the driving factor for information technology usage and management. The policy implementation is performed in conjunction with the University Technology Planning and Advisory Committee (ITSPAC) Security and Policy Subcommittee.
There are two types of policies- university-wide and UTech policies. University-wide policies are broad in scope and will have broader stakeholder approval and impact. The UTech policies are implementation level policies, and may affect all users in the university. The CWRU UTech Standards and Procedures are functional processes for user interaction with specific IT services and infrastructure.
