Campus wired network connectivity is delivered using physical faceplates that are located on the walls of offices and cubicles.
These faceplates can contain ports for standard category 5 Ethernet cables as well as fiber optic cables. Most also offer a connection for voice service to IP and analog phones.
UTech provides move, add, change and troubleshooting services for network faceplates.
Benefits
The benefits of the campus wired network are primarily realized by academic and research systems that require high bandwidth and low latency network connections for transferring data.
